Tajma Ha (still closed)

Tajma Ha is a favorite among guides for a reason—it’s an enchanting dive site with breathtaking light displays that change with the seasons. During spring and summer, the cenote dazzles with “points of light,” where beams of sunlight pierce through the darkness like laser rays. As fall and winter approach, these light points give way to the stunning “Sugar Bowl Cenote,” adorned with fantastic formations. Each visit offers a unique experience, showcasing the cenote’s ever-changing beauty.

Dream Gate

Prepare for an awe-inspiring dive at Dream Gate! Starting from a platform in a beautifully decorated cavern, you’ll explore an air dome with roots hanging from the ceiling. At midday in summer, two beams of light pierce through ceiling holes, creating an extraordinary light display. Dream Gate is a hidden gem with fewer divers, so you often get the site to yourself. Be prepared for some thrilling moments as you navigate near the dark, silt-covered bottom, requiring excellent buoyancy skills.

• Level Required: Open Water Diver or higher, with no more than 1 year without diving

• Age Requirement: 15 years or older
